Nepali web industry is lagging behind in practicing latest internet trends. Its been ages since the concepts of blogging, SEO, podcasting and numerous such new innovations have hit the global web industry, but for Nepal, these terms are completely unknown.

Its not that, there isn't anyone in Nepal, who is aware of the new waves in the web (as I personally, have got the oppertunity to discuss with few of them) but the number is almost negligible.

There may be a completely different perspective to the situation. A large part of nepalese web industry depends on outsourcing done by US, India and other major IT players as Nepal itself doesn't have large web market. And the outsourced jobs are normally laborous in nature rather than requiring innovative skill.
